If you have been following my blog for a while, you know that being eco-conscious and sustainable regarding my purchasing habits and beauty routine is important for me. I like to use natural products and support brands that have a positive impact on the environment. So in this post, I want to share with you some of my favorite eco-friendly beauty brands and products and why I love them. Enjoy!
Yves Rocher
About the brand: Yves Rocher is a beauty brand originally from France. Their products are plant-based, and they use recycled or recyclable materials for their packaging. Moreover, when one shower gel or shampoo is purchased, they give back to the environment by planting a tree. By the end of 2020, the Yves Rocher foundation had planted 100 million trees, therefore contributing to the soil stability and protection of the water resources (Yves Rocher). Finally, the brand is also cruelty-free and has created biodegradable products, such as their shampoo bar, for example.
Favorite products

Sublime Skin BB Cream: I have been using this cream for a few years already, and what I like about it is that it acts as a foundation but is way less heavy on the skin. It feels like a hydration face cream, but it actually unifies your skin tone, which is a great two-in-one. It gives a great natural look.
LifeProof Eyeshadow: This is the most recent product I bought from this brand, and I really love it. I wanted to add a little more color into my makeup routine, and this plum makeup pencil is the perfect thing. You can use it as an eyeshadow, but I prefer to use it as an eyeliner to do something a little bit different than the traditional black eyeliner.
Nutrition Shampoo Bar: In my latest beauty products post, I talked about this new eco-friendly trend that is shampoo bars. Yves Rocher has recently released their own shampoo bar, and I think it is a great product. Did you know that one shampoo bar is the equivalent of two liquid shampoos of 300 ml (Yves Rocher)? Thus, it is also a good deal for the wallet. What I like about the product is that it makes my hair really soft, and bring out natural highlight. It is made with organic flowers, and 99% of the ingredients are biodegradable.
Refreshing Cleansing Gel & Refreshing Radiance Scrub: Those are the two products I use when I do “cocooning” nights. I put the face scrub first to take off any dead skins, and then I follow with the cleaning gel. What I like about these products is that they do not make your face oily. Thus, your face feels fresh and clean! Finally, the gel contains maple sap which is known for its antioxidants and good nutrients for the skin.
Arbonne
About the brand: I did not know this beauty brand until I received a few products recently…that are now my favorites! Their products are vegan and cruelty-free, which makes this brand a very eco-friendly choice. Moreover, their program Arbonne Cycle takes back product components that are harder to recycle, such as pumps and caps, and recycles them properly. To learn more about Arbonne Cycle click here.
Finally, Arbonne also has its foundation called Flourish Arbonne Foundation, which mission is to help and provide resources to the youth mental health. This is done via charity partnerships, product donations, fundraising, and other programs (flourish.arbonnefoundation). In 2020, the foundation had raised 1.5 million, impacted 83,298 teens, and donated 2.7 million recycled products. Isn’t it a great cause to support?
Favorite products

RE9 Advanced Prepwork Hydrating Dew Cream: When I want a simple makeup look, and do not feel like putting a lot of products on my skin, this is what I use. I really like the natural look and brightness it gives to my skin. It can also be used as a makeup base as it acts as a mattifier.
Marble Palette: This is my go-to palette for my natural makeup look. This palette has four different shades of eyeshadow; three different tones of brown and light pink. It also has a beautiful blush and a bronzer. Finally, the palette comes with a lip gloss of two shades. What I like about this palette is that it has everything inside for basic makeup, which is perfect when I go somewhere and do not want to pack too much.

Speak Volumes Mascara: To complete the natural look, I like using the Speak Volumes Mascara as it lengthens the lashes without making them too thick and adding too much volume. It is also a great mascara if you have sensitive eyes like me that tend to try out when I have mascara on. Also, I did not know there was such thing as vegan mascara before trying this one, so if you are looking for a product that checks all the eco-friendly boxes, that is the one to try!
This is it for this post about my favorite eco-friendly brands and products! I hope you enjoyed it, and it made you discover some brands that you did not know existed before. What I like about those two brands is not only that they sell natural products made with real ingredients, but also that they give back to the community. Whether it is with the Flourish Arbonne Foundation or the Yves Rocher Foundation, those two brands are a great example of sustainability, therefore adding another dimension to the word beauty.
A bientôt !
